ART4000W3 – Control HMI

The ART4000W3 control HMI represents both a high-performance freely programmable control system and an HMI in one device and it is designed for local management and control of regulated systems. The ART4000W3 features Ethernet as well as RS232 and RS485 standard communication lines. The RS485 line allows easy extension of the number of inputs/outputs and also the connection of external actuators and detectors.

In some applications, it is efficient to use ART4000W3 as a managing unit (HMI) that assists other control systems within a DB-Net system, backs up important data, performs global computing, enables central data entry, etc.

The new ART4000W3 complements the control terminal with an embedded web server; it supports TCP/IP communication for protocols DB-Net/IP and MODBUS TCP/IP (client/server). There is also an SD card available for long-term archiving of calculated and measured data. The standard operating temperature is -20 °C to 60 °C.

Typical use: control of both simple and more complicated machinery, managing units of network applications, simple local data entry, heat exchanger control, weather-compensated control, heating zones, air handling units.
