The new AMRIO series of programmable I/O modules is a full-featured replacement of the DMM-xx series. Only the DMM-DO18 has been replaced by AMRIO-DO21 with three additional digital outputs. The DMM-PDO6NI6 and DMM-AO8U do not have a direct replacement and are replaced with the AI8DO8, AI8RDO8 and AI8AO8U combined models.
AMRIO modules have an extended operating temperature range of –20 to 70 °C as standard. The modules are designed for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail and for power supply of 24 V DC.
A qualitative functional change of AMRIO modules, as compared to DMM, is the upcoming possibility of programming a user application in the DetStudio development environment – this effectively means that AMRIO modules can become a small control system, easily and cost-effectively.
This week, we´ve started with the distribution of AMRIO modules that will gradually replace the discontinued DMM-xx modules that are still in stock. Thanks to the compatibility of both module series, this change should not have any significant impact on projects in progress or already implemented applications.
