The following is a description of all possibilities.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0084c8;\"><strong>Value<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; this option sends a static value to the PLC<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.1.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.1\" width=\"450\" height=\"239\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please specify a value to send to PLC. It can be any numeric value (integer or floating point). If you check the Prompt option, the user will be presented with a confirmation dialog. The value will be written only after the confirmation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0084c8;\"><strong>Toggle<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 binary switch; sets 0 to 1 and 1 to 0; should NOT be applied to non-binary variables.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.2.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.2\" width=\"450\" height=\"235\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you check the Prompt option, the user will be presented with a confirmation dialog. The value will be written only after the confirmation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0084c8;\"><strong>Numeric<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 prompts a dialog in the visualization where the user can enter any numeric value.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.3.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.3\" width=\"450\" height=\"237\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are options to treat such dialogs as password input (hiding input values) and to set the allowed range of inputs with <strong>Min<\/strong> and <strong>Max<\/strong> limits and a number with decimal places. You can choose from four numeral systems:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Decimal (Dec)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Hexadecimal (Hex)\u00a0 \u00a0 Octal<\/em> <em>(Oct)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Binary (Bin)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.4.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.4\" width=\"600\" height=\"209\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0084c8;\">Inc\/Dec<\/span><em> \u2013<\/em><\/strong> increases or decreases PLC value by the set level:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.5.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.5\" width=\"450\" height=\"234\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you select the <em>Cycle<\/em> option, the increasing \/ decreasing process will repeat. If the value goes over the <strong>Maximum<\/strong> value, it will automatically change to the minimum value. If the value goes below the <strong>Minimum<\/strong> value, it will automatically change to the maximum value.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you check the Prompt option, the user will be presented with a confirmation dialog. The value will be written only after the confirmation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0084c8;\"><strong>String<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 prompts a dialog in the visualization where the user can enter any string value with other options such as password input (for hiding input values) and sets an allowed number of characters with <strong>Min<\/strong> and <strong>Max<\/strong> limits; predefined text can also be set with the <strong>Predef. Text<\/strong> option. You can also provide a translation of the predefined text by clicking on the translation button next to the text entry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.6.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.6\" width=\"450\" height=\"238\" \/><\/p>\n<p>User Text Entry dialog:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/myscada.org\/downloads\/manuals_image\/img_17.3.7.jpg\" alt=\"17.3.7\" width=\"400\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0084c8;\"><strong>Slider<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 prompts a dialog in the visualization where the user can select any numeric value with a slider; additional options allow setting <strong>Min<\/strong> and <strong>Max<\/strong> outer slider value limits and the number of decimal places with <strong>Dec.
